What is Earnings Season?
- Earnings Season is the period during the year when top US companies like Apple, Amazon, Netflix and others release their quarterly financial results. Earnings reports can influence the general market sentiment, and therefore, are followed closely by investors and traders.
How do traders use the Earnings Calendar?
- Earnings reports provide valuable insights into a company’s financial performance. Traders might decide to go long/short in anticipation of the earnings coming in higher/lower than expected or take directional positions after the event.
How to trade the earnings calendar
